Image: Strawberry Hill Station and signalbox. Date unknown c1900
The Signalling Record Society gives a date of circa.1897 when Strawberry Hill signal box was renewed. This is the replacment box, a London and South Western Railway Type 4 design. The small building behind the footbridge is still there today. It used to be the old Post Office. Until recently it was used as an estate agent, now it is Peggy's cafe. Copyright DepotCat collection
