Mallard Place Handbook

The Mallard Place handbook is the culmination of two years of collaboration & fact checking between the RIPA Handbook Committee, Board, F&M and also our designer Owen D Pomery.

Mallard Place and Fieldend in Twickenham and Parkleys in Ham, all designed by the visionary architects, SPAN Developments, have been separately designated by the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames as conservation areas. However ‘Conservation’ concentrates purely on preservation of built and landscaped environments.

Our Handbook sets out not only to support our conservation area status by advising on physical conservation of the buildings themselves, but also aims to help preserve the sense of community and resident-run management which underpin SPAN estates.

The Mallard Place Handbook project itself has been executed by a committee of residents who have collaborated to produce a colourful, rich, easy-to-read publication that works in conjunction with the Mallard Place website. The Handbook is designed to inspire not only current, but also future generations of Mallard Place residents.

This page is the partner page for the Handbook. Here you can find all the online references mentioned within the pages of the book.

NOTE: If you are renting your property, please be aware of the environment & recycle your copy of the Handbook by leaving it for the next resident or return to RIPA Residents Society – do not throw them away. You are welcome to download a copy of the Handbook to keep, of course.
